Family Time

Yes, and from ancient days I am He. No one can deliver out of My hand. When I act, who can reverse it? Isaiah 43:13

Beautiful Day!

But I, by your great mercy, will come into your house; in reverence will I bow down toward your holy temple. Psalm 5:7

This morning we woke to snow. But that didn't damper our spirits. We were going to a baptism today! A member of our congragation, and a friend, had her baby daughter baptized today! The angles in heaven were celebrating today! It is such a wonderful day when someone new joins us in God's wonderful family.
With it being Reformation Sunday we sang some wonderful hymns. The last couple of Sundays they have been exceptional. Truckerman was upset last Sunday because a couple of his favorites were sung and he was not able to sing along.
He is doing better and is happy that he can breathe better now.
I figured out my reading for the next week for school. Yikes! about 350-400 words. Not good for me. Then there is the 7 assignments to do one top of that! Plus then there is halloween on Tuesday so that day is busy. Then Wednesday Truckerman goes back to work, so the morning of that day is shot because I help get him ready to go. Then I may have to take my car in to finally get the part that is missing put on to it. Truckerman is going to have to get tough about it and soon because it needs the part before there is any more snow.
We were looking at ringtones for our new phone. There are some really funny and some really cute ones. We have picked out 4 to buy. Truckerman wants the Hallelujah! Classical. You know the one, when the people sing Hallelujah over and over. He wanted it as soon as he heard it. Right now we have When the Saints Go Marching In on it right now.
I want the General Lee horn from The Dukes of Hazzard. If the Theme song would have been original I would have gotten that one too, but unfortunately it wasn't.
Then I want Peppy la Peu (however you spell it) from Looney Tones. Oh is it funny! I laughed so hard. I told Truckerman that I am going to use it for his truck number. He asked me, "What, do think of me as a smelly french skunk?" Someone is too sensitive I think.
The last one that I want is a toss up of different Looney Tunes. I can't decide between Speedy Gonzalas, Wyle E. Coyote, or Yosemite Sam. If I could get Veggie Tales I would, but they don't have them, and I was hoping for Donald Duck, but there was only Mickey and Minnie. Maybe in the future.

Long Day

As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. John 15:19

We got up extra early this morning to go to the city for Truckerman to attend the Hymnal Seminar. He really enjoyed it and it will help him in the future when it comes to seminary and when he goes to his first call. He enjoyed it so much that he's been talking about it since I picked him up.
While he was at the seminar, I took Pete and Repete to Value Village to see if we could find Pete a winter coat. I found one that is in great shape and should fit him next year as well for only $3.99. I think that is an awesome deal. I also bought him some sweat shirts and pants and of course Repete needed to get a couple of shirts (even though he really didn't need them) but for a couple dollars I said yes. Everything came to $22 and some change. I love deals like that!
We went to the Christian book store and I picked up an Arch book for Pete (Repete decided that he didn't want a book this time. SHOCKING!!) and then I remembered that we have Operation Christmas Child to buy for. So I picked up a couple more books and a couple small things. When I got to the till and paid for my things the lady gave me a gift certificate for $25 plus the GST. I was excited that I gave it to Truckerman to get something.
We then went to that new dollar store next to the book store called Dollarama. Everything is a dollar or less. So I picked up some card and scrapbooking things and the rest of my Christmas Child stuff.
After we picked up Truckerman we went to pick up our friend's daughter and took her out for lunch. I hope her little sister doesn't get upset that her sister got to see the boys. She and Pete are friends and they email and write letters back and forth and enjoy playing with each other.
After we dropped her off at her appartment we went back to the Christian book store and Truckerman used his certificate to buy a CD.
Then we went back to Value Village to see if there were overcoats for Truckerman but they were either to small or not the kind that he wanted.
So it was off to the mall to get a cell phone. Yes people, we bought a cell phone. I need one for work next fall and there has been times in the last few months that I could have used one. So now I have one. It's even a picture phone. I never thought in a million years that I would get one of those. Now I have to read the book to actually be able to use the dang thing. Ugh, more reading!
We went to the mens clothing store and picked up an overcoat for Truckerman, so he is happy now. I think that it needs a belt for it. That wouldn't be too hard to make and put on. I just need to find the time.
I am now going to go and vegg out because I am too tired to do anything else. I am even having trouble trying to spell and type this thing out.
Well nitey nite everyone.

Noisey

And this is love: that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love. 2 John 6

This a constant sight around our place right now. We have a lake behind our house and every year at this time we get thousands of geese flocking to the lake. So it can get quite noisey around here. And you also want to watch yourself for falling things. Things like pee and poop. Pete got peed on last year and I got pooped on the year before.

Geese flying above the house

It is also noisey in the house because Repete was home. Lately he doesn't stop talking. His big thing today is that he has growd. He can get into and out of the back of Daddy's truck, so that means "I growd mommy!"

Yucky!

Anyone who believes in the Son of God this testimony in his heart...And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 1 John 5:10-11

The Kindergarden class carved their pumpkins today. That was quite the expirience. I went to help out with Repete's pumpkin. He would have nothing to do with cleaning it out. Actually most of the kids would not either. It was too yucky! Repete spent the time dancing around and singing about carving pumpkins and how slimmy the insides were. I told him that I should sent him to Uncle One Eye's during hunting season and he can help gut and skin and then he would know what gross was. Didn't faze him at all. It was fun trying to keep all of their pj's clean. It was also pajama day and they got to watch a movie and have a drink and eat popcorn in the gym at lunch time.
So anyways back on subject, I then realized when we were finished that I had forgotten my camera. So when I got home I put it beside me to take when I picked the boys up today. Well I forgot again. I guess I will just have to go there tomorrow when I go to town and take a picture of Repete's pumpkin and all the others. His teacher lined them up in the hallway on tables and put a string of Chirstmas lights inside of them and turned the lights off. They look pretty neat. I'm going to ask his teacher if she can find the pictures from when Pete was in her class. I missed that day because Truckerman was working and Repete was little and I had no one to watch him for me. Hopefully she can find it so I can make a copy for him.
I better scoot and go and make supper. I've decided to make ginger beef, brown rice, and cooked carrots. Sounds yummy! I just hope that it is. Then it will be study and get the rest of my reading done and start my assignment. Then I can start getting ahead of things again, I hope.
Tomorrow I'll have a picture up of all the pumpkins.

Quiet Morning

O Isreal, put your hope in the Lord both now and forevermore. Psalm 131:3

Don't you just love when people call and start talking to you but don't tell you who they are? That happened to me this morning. I was chatting with a friend and I got a beep, so I answered it. The person started asking me about a website that my sister-in-law told someone about. They wanted the web address. How am I supposed to know these things? I'm not sis-in-laws keeper. I don't really talk to her after everything that has happened. Am I'm supposed to know what web site she told them about? I have to shake my head.
Well the woman is lucky that I know of a website that has a link to it so I gave it to her. If you have kids this is a great coloring sheet web site. Coloring Sheets , games, ect. The boys like it alot because of the variety of characters that you can get, and they have Bible coloring sheets as well.
Anyways, about this call, I had to *69 to find out who it was. I know the person, and she runs a daycare here in town.
Today is buddy bowling for Repete. He is bringing a boy from his class. This shall be an interesting day that is for sure. It is tough enough to watch 2 kids there, it is going to be fun with 2 little ones and the older one. Pete does his buddy bowling next week. Thank goodness they split it up this year. I'll have to tell the one bowling mom that I'll take my turn next week for snack so she doesn't have to worry about the extra children and she can take my turn the next week.
The mom's of the team that Repete are on are taking turns bring snacks for the team and their siblings. Then we don't have to buy snacks and pop at the bowling alley and they all get the same thing so there is no whining. The only problem is some of the other children that bowl think that we should be providing for them as well. It is a bitof a pain when they are trying to take what in your childs and their friends and pester you and the other mothers for food. Why can't the parents of those children sent something for them?
I'm sitting here and I keep noticing that when I look out the window I see blue sky to the north yet over my house sits this grey gloomy looking really long cloud. It doesn't seem to going away. I don't know how long it is but I would prefer the blue sky. It rained a little bit this morning and I'm assuming that it will some more. I just can not seem to get over the fact that there are still some trees trying to hold on to their leaves and they are still green. And then there is the lawn. Our lawn is still fairly green in alot of places. Usually by the end of August it is brown. This have been a very strange fall. I'm not complaining at all because it has been a very nice fall indeed.

Some pictures

I had trouble posting these on the last post so I just posted them seperate. These are the pictures from my first hunting expirience. One that will never be forgotten.

Here is the gentleman that fixedt he powerline

Here is Dad and Gramps helping pull the lines together

Funny story

The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:17

I was reading a blog today. It is listed on the sidebar as Paradisetownship. Anyways, her son got his very first bebegun for his birthday. What a right of passage for a young man.
I would love to give Pete one but with moving to the big city next year that is not going to happen. I'm thinking this summer he could spent some time with Great Gramps in his gunshop and learn more about guns and how they work and then they could go out to the range in the back and shoot some targets.
I loved doing that when I was a kid. I still miss the pistol competitions when I was a teen. Some days I wish I still had my air pistol and my backstop. Just to go and target shoot and relax. The only problem is I sold my gun and a new one would break us. Plus all the equipment to go with it. Ouch!
Anyhow, to the funny story. When I first got my hunter safety certificate, Gramps gave me a rifle. Oh, it was beautiful. The pattern on the stock, I was in love. That year Gramps, Grandma, Dad, and I went down south to hunt. Just the 4 of us. I was so excited because this was the first year I was able to use a gun, I didn't have to push bush (not an enjoyable thing when you are short and have to walk through snow and the bush). So, we got up on the tuesday morning, the first day of hunting season. We got dressed, ate breakfast, got all our gear, and headed out to go hunting. Gramps and Grandma headed out in their truck and Dad and I behind in Dad's truck.
We were driving down the road and low and behold a 5 point buck. A real beaut! So I tell dad to stop I want to try and get him. This is only a half hour after the season had officially started.
So I get my 300 Savage out and loaded, I line up my sites (I had open sites because I did not get a scope yet) and shoot, pump, shoot, pump, and shoot. Well I missed the dane thing. But the reason for missing?
I SHOT THE POWER LINE IN TWO!!!!
Yup, that is correct. I had been shoot down a hill and there was a power line that was running across that I had not seen and the bullet had ripped right through it. Well the next thing I know there is a fire on the ground and the lights at the surrounding farms were going out one by one.
It freaked me out. We went to a nearby farm to call the power company to report it. Dad explained what had happened and they would not believe him. They actually thought that we had run into the pole with the truck.
A while later the gentleman shows up to fix it and was dumbfounded. I still to this day have that piece of wire to prove that it did happen.
That was 18 years ago! Yikes! I can't believe it has been that long.
After we had gotten that fixed we went to a friends place for coffee and her husband came home from town. He proceeds to tell us this story about someone shooting a powerline in two. It was already around town. That is embarrassing for a 15 year old that is for sure.
To this day my family still picks on me about that. I will never live that one down.
Well that one isn't as bad as my uncle shooting a goose and it landing on his clients brand new truck and breaking out the sunroof! That is a totally different story for another time.
By the way, the wine and soap is working wonderfully on the fruit flies.

What a Deal

O Lord, let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of this Your servant and to the prayer of Your servants who delight in Your name. Nehemiah 1:11

What a deal I got today! Unfortunately out fabric store is going out of business this week due to the owners poor health. But anyways, everything is 50% off. I bought enough flanellette to make pj's for everyone (kids) for Christmas. $2.50 a meter is an awesome deal. Now I just need to find the dang pattern. I guess this means that I have to clean up my office. Good excuse to do it I guess.
After fussing over the assignment that was due last night and thinking that I did so poorly, the instructor emailed me back first thing this morning with a 100% attached to the assignment. Blew my mind. I still cannot wrap my brain around it. I think it is one that will just have to be let unthought of. I'm just worried about the funeral directing assignment. There was so much there and there was alot to it. Tomorrow I have a business assignment due and I am almost done the reading so I should be able to get it done tonight, I hope. IF all else fails I'll be working my butt off when I get home from the city.
The wine and soap are out around the house. So hopefully it works again like it did the last time I had problems.
Well better get some more reading done and cleaning up of my office to find the patterns that I need.

Whopper of a headache

Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven. Matthew 9:2

Wow, do I have a headache! Well it is more like my brain is mush and I am having trouble focusing. This is due to the fact that I just finished my assignment that was due tonight. Too many assignments and so many other things to do that I am starting to take my stress out of the family. It was pointed out to me last night.
Truckerman and I discussed some of the things bothering me and then he and I sat the boys down and had a family meeting with them to discuss things with them. Mom and Dad have laid down the law!!
Things were better today but there is still somethings that need improving yet. I know that things are not going to change overnight but they will.
First thing was that the boys are more conscious of turning the lights out and shutting the door to the outside. I am charging $.25 everytime either is not done. If 2 lights are on then the amount doubles and if the 2 of them were in the room together and leave together then they both get fined. You would think mom telling them to turn lights off behind them and them doing it for so long that them forgetting would not all of a sudden happen but it did.
Truckerman and the boys cleaned out most of the porch for me today. I haven't seen the bottom of the closet in probably 4 years. Yup, that's right, it has been that long. I've asked that it get done, I've begged, I've even gotten mad and it never got done. I laid down the law and said that it was going to get done today, and low and behold, it is almost done!!! I'm so excited. And we also found some shoes that we forgot we had.
I also found out that I don't have to buy winter boots for the boys for a couple of years. A friend had sent the boys her kids boots that are in awesome shape. I'm so excited. I also had the boys try on their winter coats and Repete is still good with the one he wore last year and Pete is okay for right now and the ski pants still fit, so when we are in the city on Saturday I will take him to Value Village and see if there are any nice used coats. If not then I will check out at the store where mom and dad are and see if they have any. They did the last time I was there but that was a few months ago. Last year we bought Truckerman a Columbia 3 in 1 for only $25 and it was in great shape. Those coats are almost $200 through Sears. So I think we got a great deal.
So the only one that needs new boots is myself. I have a problem in that department. I need a pair of big heavy boots. Well to buy womens boots they are too tight in the leg that I cannot tuck in my pant legs and the toe area are usually too narrow for me as well. And to buy a mans boot they start in size 7 alot of the time and I would be a 6- 6.5. That makes things difficult for me. But I am determined to find just the right pair. I can do it!
Well I better get moving. I have another assignment due on Tuesday and I have not started yet and I won't even be home on Tuesday because of a Doctor's appointment in the city.

Argh!

Though we are slaves, our God has not deserted us in our bondage. Ezra 9:9

I dislike fruit flies! They seem to be everywhere. I had gotten rid of them earlier this September. I found a cure to getting rid of them. Well they for some reason are back. And as I write this there are 2 of them flying around me. That just makes me grumpy. You all want to know the trick to getting rid of them?
CHARDENNAY!!!
Yup, wine! But don't forget a couple drops of dish soap in a dish. It really works! Mom thought that fruit juice would work but sorry people it didn't work for her and it definately didn't work for me. I'm not sure if grandma used it. She was having some troubles too. I'm thinking they had to come off of something we all bought. I know this August and September was bad for alot of people that I know.
So today I will be off to buy a bottle of wine. Truckerman will not be able to drink any because of his meds. I'll have to save the remainder after killing the flies for his next days off.
Did you know that ants do not like cucumber peals? It is not just ants but also wasps, mites flies, and some other insects. I don't have a problem with ants so I haven't tried it. Sounds interesting. What I use for ants outside is a mixture of equal parts icing sugar and Borax. Mix that up, sprinkle a little over there homes, and within a couple of days, no more ants. Works really nicely and it is not bad for the environment.

Almost done

The Son of God, Jesus Christ,...was not "yes" and "No."...For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:19-20

Wow!! I am done my business assignment, that is one, and I just finished and sent my funeral directing assignments, that would be 2-7, and now I have one left and that is psych. I didn't think that I was going to get my FD done but I did. So hopefully I can get the psych done by tomorrow. That would be really nice but I'm assuming that it will not get done until sunday sometime.
My friend and I are taking our kids bowling tomorrow night. It should be a good time because the kids get along so well and they like to bowl. It will also get me thinking of other things other then school or Truckerman.
Speaking if Truckerman, he is doing better today. You can actually hear him better when he talks and he is not having to take Tylonol quite as often. He is also eating things that has come more consistancy to it.
The boys and Truckerman watched The Hulk tonight. We borrowed it from Uncle One Eye. Repete is so funny when he watches it. He gets all excited and chatters away about the things going on.
Last year when Polar Express came out we watched it with the boys. Now that was quite the expirience with Repete. I wish that I had video taped him watching it. I had the giggles all evening just watching him.
We are all ready for Halloween. I received our Adventures in Osyssey from Focus On The Family. Pete and Repete have already opened their copy of it and listened to both episodes. We also have their costumes ready. Well I still have to put the finishing touches on Pete's. I had all my embalming equipment from the summer so he decided that he will use some of it for his costume. He is going as a mad scientist or an embalmer. I'm not sure, well, he's not sure which one he is going to be yet. I am to add fake blood to the front of it for him. Repte is going as a knight. He has been infatuated with knights since Pete started reading King Author.
I am going to go and watch some mindless TV now so I don't have to use my brain. That sounds wonderful.

Snow

Help us, O God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your names sake. Psalm 79:9

Today we woke to some snow on the ground. Environment Canada is calling for snow today and tonight. But it sould all melt. Repete took a spill on the way to the bus this morning. Luckily he didn't fall down the steps. I had to pull out the tougues and mitts this morning. Looks like I need to pull out the rest of the winter clothing and wash it all.
Truckerman went for a massage this morning to help his jaw from the surgery. He can't take his TMJ meds for a week in case of bleeding. So this will have to do for him this week. Poor guy.
Pete did great in bowling yesterday. The first game was sluggish but he really pulled it out for the second game. He needs to remember to slow done and consetrate. I was unable to watch Repete because I was scorekeeping for Pete. Well Repete didn't do so well. To busy pretending he was different animals instead of a bowler. LOL I guess mom will have to keep an eye on him from now on.
I am on assignment 2 of 8. 2-7 are all the same class and there is alot of reading. This week is on bylaws and regulations. BORING!! I am having some trouble keeping my mind on it. I better get my mind on it because they are all due tomorrow. OUCH!! I have most of the day to myself to get it done. The only things that I have to do is take Pete to his piano lesson and drop off some chocolates for Truckerman's grandma.
Time to get into the shower and then study time!

Home

He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves." Luke 10:2-3

We are home. Truckerman is feeling not to bad today. He was really hungry though. The poor man only had 3 popsicles and 1 bowl of jello yesterday. This morning was an ice cream cup. So before we left the city I bought him the largest popsicle that was at the gas station. After I unloaded the car and put all the groceries away, I made him some chicken soup with rice. That we help fill him up a bit.
Repete and I went to Uncle One Eye and Auntie Cinders and visited. Poor Repete, Uncle OE told him he wanted to cut off his toes so he could pickle them. The two of them watched a movie together and Uncle OE fell asleep in the middle of it. We ened up bringing the movie home to finish watching it here. Pete should be happy that he will be able to watch it too.
I worked at the funeral home yesterday. I did some cleaning and ran some errands, and talked with the receptionist. She is a really nice lady and a joy to talk with.
The boys have bowling after school today and Pete has to study for his french test that is tomorrow. He had to be able to tell me the different names for family members. Good thing I actually remember how to say those ones.
I has 1 of 8 assignments done so far. UGH! I should hopefully have at least one more done today. I have all day tomorrow to work on the rest with the exception of the time I have to pick up Pete for piano lessons. They have now been changed to Thursday. That day seems to work best for both of us. Hopefully it does.
My Epicure came in and I picked it up on my way home. MMMM!!! Yummy spices and dips!! I think I am going to make some this weekend to have while watching one of the shows that I like.
My stampin' order will go out today and I should have that back soon and then I am done with ordering with the lady that I had been dealing with.

Overcast

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure, then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of rightousness. James 3:17-18

It is cold, overcast, and windy today. Truckerman said that where he is at it is very white. Yup, he has snow and the forcast last night was calling for it today. All day! As long as it does not interfere with us going to the city it doesn't bother me much.
Looks like I will be getting a descent order for my party, even with only one person coming to it. I still get free stuff. I like free stuff. :)
I won't be on here for a couple of days because today is the day that I take Truckerman to the city for his surgery. I have a million things to do today. Where to start? Thank goodness for lists. I love to make lists. Truckerman calls me the list lady. He likes to tease me about that. If it were not for lists he would forget his things for work. The sad part of it is, I did have lists for the the things that I needed to take with me to school in the big city this summer for school and I still forgot all my dress clothes. I got halfway there to realize what I had done. Let's just say I was having a bad day! LOL I can laugh about it now, but let me tell you I was on the verge of tears that day.
Well, gotta go and get everything done. Have a great couple of days and I'll see update you all when we get home. Please pray for Truckerman for us. God bless.

Busy

The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath. Psalm 110: 5

Service was good today. I just wished that I could have sang the hymns but my voice would not permit me to do so. I just love to sing in church and today was a no go. Todays Sunday School lesson was on Abram and Lot. I wasn't up to really teaching but with it just being my two boys today we had a short lesson.
I have to finish up the assignments. One is almost done and the other part of the readings are done. The To Do List is getting longer by the minute. When will it end?!
Truckerman is feeling better today. I just hope the cold clears up quickly. He really needs his tonsils out. He should be home in the late afternoon tomorrow. Then it will ba a scramble to get everything done and packed into the bags and car and get going to the city to my parents and to drop Pete off at Grandpa G's and J's. He should have a good time. He enjoys spending time with them. Repete is going to spend the Tuesday with Grandpa E. He will enjoy doing that too. I will be working at the funeral home to help with hours for my embalming tickets.
Repete will be happy to find out that we are going to Uncle One Eye and Auntie Cinders place Tuesday night for a visit.
Environment Canada is calling for snow/rain today and snow for all day tomorrow. :P It could be worse, it could be a snow storm. Funny thing is that we still have green grass still and some of the trees in the yard still have green leaves on them. Very strange for the middle of October.

What a Night

The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. Psalm 126:3

Last night my friend and her husband and I took the kids to see Open Season not to bad a movie. Seen better and seen worse. The boys really enjoyed it and that is what matters.
After we left the theater I was sitting in the car out front while the boys buckled up and there standing right in front of us was a teenager drinking a beer. How done are they now-a-days?! I got the plate # and called the RCMP. I was directed to the call center. I swear I got the same woman that my friend had when her house was paintballed. The woman needs her head examined.
Anyhow, I called Truckerman to tell him about the evening and I come to find out that he is deathly ill with the flu. He was so bad that he couldn't leave the place that he was at because he needed to be near a bathroom. It had been 4 hours that he had been running at the time of the call. I felt bad that I couldn't help him. Some days it sucks that he can't be here.
I haven't heard back from the RCMP yet. I doubt that I will get a call until next week and I won't be here. Let me tell you, I will be making a comment about that lady I talked to at the call center that is for sure.
Today I am having a stamping party today. I have no idea who is coming nor how many. There could be one there could be 10. I really don't know. I just better get my minimum or I'm responsible to get it. Well, I'll update that party later. I need to go and get some cleaning and studying done before we have to get going. Have a great day!!

Oh My Face

Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority 1 Peter 2:13

I can breath but my face hurts from my sinuses. It really makes it difficult to consentrate with a sore face.
It is my brother Cookie's 30th birthday today!!! And it is Friday the 13th. I pray that he has a great year and that God blesses him.
Hopefully he is answering his phone today.
Today Pete has piano. His teacher got the flu and we had to change the day. It sounds like she is feeling better.
I am almost done my reading so I can start my assignment and get it done today. I need to get as much done as I can in the next couple of days before we leave for Truckerman's surgery. I should be able to if I get buckled down and actually do it.
I have a pile of stuff to do today and with the studying and the other things, something is going to have to get put on the back burners. Like cleaning my house I guess. UGH!!
I hav ejust been informed that I have 7 assignments due next week! I really better go and something done.
God bless and take care!

All alone

My God sent his angel, and He shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me , because I was found innocent in His sight. Daniel 6:22

Wow! I am all alone at home. It is October and it was supposed to have happened alot more but hasn't. This is weird!!
My cold has gone up into my head. So far I can still breathe through my nose, which is a good thing. I turned the humidifier on last night so maybe that has something to do with it.
But any how, today will consist of studying, and laundry. Ya! Things I love to do! NOT!! :P But they have to get done and I have all this time to myself to get it done I better use it wisely.
Truckerman went to work last night, to the relief of his boss who is down with the flu. Truckerman took the clorox wipes with him to wipe down the entire truck before he left. But he has a cold now and thinks it is going into his chest. What else will go on. Hopefully he can get over it quickly.
Well I'm off to study death, dying and bereavement. Yipee! :P

Feeling a bit better

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, o God. Psalm 42:1

I slept on the couch last night. I don't want Truckerman to get my cold. The onion did seem to help somewhat. I still have some irritation and my neck muscles hurt. That is probably due to sleeping on the couch. Comfy to sit on not so cumfy to sleep on, well, maybe the odd nap. :)
Repete was excited to show me his gift bag for fire week from the fire department. "Wook mom at all the stuff I got!" Coloring book and sheets, crayons, tatoos, bookmarks, etc. What excitement for a 5 year old. He is beside me right now coloring the first picture in the book.
Truckerman went to the city for his appointments today and he has a lot of time in between appointments and he was supposed to take his books to study and I found them still at home. So I wonder what he is going to do all morning after his first appointment because his second appointment is not until after lunch. Thank goodness he can go to mom and dad's and find something to do there.
Today will be a day of studying since none got done yesterday. :P And then the boys have bowling after school. Then it will be time to make supper. Then bath the boys. Then after they go to bed, it will be back to studying. I think my brain just mind pop right out of my head.

ARGH!!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perserverance the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1

People frustrate me so much today. Crankymomma and I took my car to the Border city today to get the part that the should have had on it when we bought it. Ya, well that is not what happened. It was the other part that was broken on my car when we bought it. Well they did not specify that when thay called. Well, the appointment was for 11:45 am. The mechanics went for lunch and did not come back until 1 pm. We took the shuttle to Walmart for a while and then went back thinking that the part should be on by now. Nope! After sitting in the waiting room for more then an hour I come to find out that it is another piece that they are putting on the car and it will be a while yet to be done. Then I come to find out that the part that I need is not ordered and that I am going to be responsible to pay for it. I DON'T THINK SO!!!! We have gotten nothing but a runa round when it comed to this part. They are saying that Sales might pay for it but I doubt it. To add to that the Sales lady we dealt with is mad at Truckerman because he didn't put excellent on the evaluation. He did for her part but we had already had to deal with stuff from other areas and so he marked it accordingly. Well I guess it came back on her even though it was someone elses department. How dumb is that?
So it took them 3.5 hours to but in a vent and caused me more grief then I care to have. And to top off my day, I know have a cold. Truckman does not need to catch this because he is going for surgery next week. I think I'll be sleeping on the couch tonight. Yipee!! :P
Crankymomma told me to eat raw onion and that should help. I tried it. Oh boy, did that ever burn!!! But to tell you the truth my throat doesn't hurt near as much and I stink of onion and it is helping keep Truckerman away from me. LOL
Hopefully tomorrow is less eventful.

untitled

Why is that children want to be loud? Why is it that they have no patience? Why do they not listen? Why is it that something as simple as saying Please and Thank you, turning off lights, closing the door, putting their wrappers in the garbage, doing their chores, and putting things away after they have used it can not be done even though it has been told to them over and over again since they could talk and walk? Some days I'm surprised that I am not bald the way it's going. I don't know how we are going to move to Edmonton and me going to work is going to happen. I think that Truckerman and I need to sit the boys down and lay down the law once and for all. The other day I took the garbage bag into their room and anything that was not put away where it was supposed to go went into the bag. I was not very popular after that but it did not seem to faze them. I had to remind and threaten again today to get their room and the livingroom cleaned again. I just don't get it.

Full!!!!

Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; sing praise to his name, for that is pleasant. Psalm 135:3

I think this verse is fitting since today is Thanksgiving. the boys and I went to Mom and Dad's for supper yesterday. Cookie (my brother) was to be there with a friend but unfortunately his car decided that it was not going to work. So he got stuck in the big city but thankfully he was with friends when he called. It was mom's birthday as well yesterday. A few of the family came and we had a good time and a good meal. We had turkey, potatoes, stuffing, perogies, cabbage rolls, etc. Mom make pumpkin pie and I made a turtle cheese cake. Half of it came home, Ugh! Not the best thing to have around the house when you want to lose weight. Truckerman will eat some. I'm sure I can find people that would come over to eat it if I tried.
Truckerman comes home today! Unfortunately he is only home a short time this time because of his surgery next week. At least he is coming home. I think I am going to sent the boys outside since it is a beautifull day today and tomorrow it is supposed to be cold and stay that way.

Big Beautiful Bag

I was to only bring a salad tomorrow for supper and mom calls. She went on and on about the pies that she was making. Then she went on to say that she had to go to Sobey's to pick up a few things and then to M & M Meats to pick up some stuff. One of those things was to be a cheese cake. Well I offered to make the cheese cake. "No, No, I'm going to be at M & M's anyways I'll just pick it up there." "Okay." I said. Not even a half hour later the phone rings and I am now not only making a salad, I am making a cheese cake. I finished the salad. I made a deep dish layered salad that I found on All recipes. I changed it up a bit to suit my liking. Hopefully it tastes okay. I decided that I am going to make a Turtle Cheese Cake. Yummy! Thank goodness that it is halloween time and I could find carmels. MMMMM...yummy carmels. The one problem...they come in big bags of carmels. I don't need that many carmels to make the cake. Oh the rich creamy flavor...I just want to eat the whole bag. Oh, what to do? I think that I will have to take the bag and leave it at mom's for her to eat. What a shame...that creamy flavor...oh!!!

Rainy

By faith Enoch was taken from his life, so that he did not expirience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commanded as one who pleased God. Hebrews 11:5

It is raining here. I was hoping that it would not but I don't control the weather. Repete and I went for a walk. I walked a mile and part of that mile I had to push Repete on him bike because he was tired. I finished my Funeral Directors assignment. Now its time to start on Business. And it keeps going round. Hopefully the boys will leave me along long enough to get the reading done today.

Better day

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Things are better today (except I am having a bit of trouble spelling better I keep writing beeter). Pete is at school and Repete is watching s ahow at the moment then the tv is off for the rest of the day.
I have laundry going, and that is about it so far. Been pretty lazy this morning but I do plan on getting as much of my to-do list checked off as I can today. The one big thing will be to work out. That is a big thing. Maybe I'll walk and Repete can ride his bike this afternoon since it is a beautiful day outside. Might as well enjoy it since it will not last very long.
First things first is to finish my assignment and clean the boys room myself. Poor boys are not going to know what hit them. They are going to realize mom means business.
It shall be an interesting afternoon indeed.

Frustration

Why is it when one thing frustrating happens everything seems to be frustrating?
I was supposed to go to work and the boys were going to a friends and the friend forgot to phone me to tell me that she had a change of plans.
Thank goodness for crankymomma, she is a wonderful person and she took the boys at the last minute.
Pete and Repete are going to drive me bonkers. I think it is their goal in life. How long does it take to clean a bedroom? Can anyone answer this one? Well, for them I think it will never happen. It is constantly messy just like the rest of the house. My house should be condemed. The cleaning ladies from How Clean Is Your House on the W network should really come and do an overhaul on my place. I really think I am going to have a melt down if my house stays like this. The boys have been working on their room for 2 days now and instead of the floor and counter being a mess now it is their closet. They have containers for their toys, with lids mind you, yet the toys do not end up in them and the lids are never on them. Tomorrow out comes the garbage bag because I am on a mission. Toys are disappearing as soon as my assignment is finished in the morning. There are going to be some unhappy boys but mom will be satisfied and maybe the boys will get the picture.
Next thing to top off my day is I really need to loose weight. When I have to resort to wearing control top underwear so I don't have rolls under my blouse there is a problem. A really big problem.
So I think that I am going to be setting some goals. New ones for each month so I don't overwhelm myself. I think 2 goals for now will be good so I don't get to bogged down and that I actually follow through with them I will keep everyone posted on how it is going.
So my first goal for October is to clean out the boys room, thin out the toys, remove the built-in counter, remove the wall paper behind it, paint behind it, wash wall, and change the room around.
The second goal is to start working out on a daily basis to loose weight. Since Truckerman did buy me an eliptical and I do have those Pilate videos I might as well use them.
Sorry for the ranting and raving but I do feel better. I think I will be able to get some more work done. I think I'll go and read some of my Bible to clear my head first and then throw a loadin the wash and drier and then study some more.
Good night everyone and God bless.

Long morning

Christ...will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him. Hebrews 9:28

I've been up for an hour and I'm officially done for the day! The boys some day. You'd think that they just came here for a visit because they don't seem to know where some things are and where some things need to be put. It is always a struggle with the two of them to pick up after themselves. Today will be judgement day for them. They have a built-in cupboard in their room that I dispise. It is coming out. All it is good for is to collect junk. Oh, and hold Pete's clothing but a dresser would work better. Anyhow, I've already taken the doors off and told the boys that everything that is on it and in it (other then clothes and Elvis) need to be put away, given away, or thrown out. And it better not be on the floor, or bed either. If it is not done by bedtime I will personally be throwing it all away. I'm tired of it and not putting up with it anymore. Oh ya, Elvis is our pet salamander.

Todays plan is to do up my roots, the white is getting to me, do some laundry, go to work (there is a funeral today and they need some help), get my assignment finshed (that is a complete disaster), and everything else that needs to be done on a regular basis. :P At least I'm still breathing. LOL
Time to go and switch laundry. Have a great day y'all.

Funny reading

But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. Philippians 3:7

I read the funniest thing last night. Things not to place into a casket that is being cremated. First there was the regular things that one would like of like anything plastic, glass, metal, anything containing batteries, and coconuts. Yup that is right, coconuts. I did a double take on that one and then laughed. And you know that it was put there because someone would have had to put one in before. Why anyone would put a coconut into a casket is beyond me. I still think it is funny though.
Pete and Repete started bowling today. Pete was supposed to have done just curling and piano but seeing some of his friends and Repete bowling he couldn't resist and decided that he was going to bowl instead of curl. Truckerman and I both were wondering how he was going to do watching everyone else. Doesn't bother me none. Actually it works better for me. It is cheaper and I only have to go to town twice instead of four times. Suits me just fine.

Spammed!

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105

"You have officially been spammed!" as I have been told by Truckerman. He fixed that problem for me today. Thankyou sweetie. I had an appointment with the speach pathologist for Repete this morning. That went well, I am going to work with him to help with the few sounds that he is having a bit of trouble with. She said that he is having minor difficulty with some of the sounds but they want to work on it now so it doesn't become a problem in the future. In a few minutes I have to cut Truckerman's hair and then study. At lunch I have to take Pete to his piano lessons. First one of the year. Then at 1pm I have to help the Kindergarden class for the afternoon. Should be a busy day. I'm excited to finally meet the rest of Repete's class. It shall be fun!
Those new pineapple cutters that are out in grocery stores now work awesome. I love it. I had bought one when I was in Calgary this summer and I forgot it at my cousin's place. So I bought a new one. They range in price from $5-$10. They work great, less mess and very quick. Plus they make RINGS! LOVE IT!! I suggest that if you like fresh pineapple this is a must have. I wouldn't go back to using a knife.
I think today I am also going to do some baking. I have a great recipe for Chocolate Carrot Cake. Yummy! Crankymomma (my friend) gave me some carrots and the other day I had given the recipe to another friend. Now I feel like making it. Now I'm getting hungry. Ugh!
Well I'm off. Off with the hair!!! Heehee!!

Things are going well

My aunt Cinders called to say that my aunt is out of surgery and all went well and that she should be in her room soon. Now it is just the recovery which will be at least 6 weeks. She is strong and I think she will be out sooner then that.
I'm learning some very interesting things in my Funeral Directors reading that I didn't know. But then I'm sure that most people don't want to hear about it. Poor Truckerman having to listen to some of the things that I have to say about what I have read. It will only help him when he is a minister. LOL Ya, right! Like how someone is cremated and what happens to their body is going to help him. I find it intersting even if he thinks its weird. But then I was never known for my normalsy ( I'm not looking up the spelling on that one :) )
Gotta go and get the boys bathed.

Another typical day

Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them. Hebrews 7:25

Just another typical day here. Study, house work, ect. I do have to ge and drop off catalogs for those that did not make the party yesterday and I am having coffee with a friend. But this time I am bringing Repete with me.
While we are in town we will get the mail and get the few groceries that I forgot on Friday. Why is it that you can write out a list, take it with you, and you still forget items off of it? Happens everytime. I got a call from Repete's teacher this morning and she asked that I help tomorrow afternoon. Repete seems happy about it. It takes away from the study time but helping out in Repete's class is a little more important.

Disappointed

The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Romans 8:16

I had my Epicure Party today and either people forgot or someone was sick in their households. Typical happens everytime. One friend did come and my friend working the party and my other friend and I sat there and ate food and visited while the kids played. At least the kids were happy.
Supper last night was yummy as usual. Grandma is the BEST cook ever. We had turkey and all the fixin's. For dessert we had pumpkin pie and birthday cake. It was hard driving home. I wanted a nap after eating all of that.
I found out today that my father-in-laws girlfriend had surgery today on her foot. She has arthritis and her toes were starting to turn so the doctor straightened them for her. She will be off work for 3 months. Ouch!
Tomorrow my aunt will have back surgery. We were in a car accident 30 years ago. She was 6 and I 1.5 years old. Grandma's car was hit by a semi. Anyways, she is in a wheelchair and had to have rods placed into her back. Well her rods started to bend and worstened when she was pregnant last year with her daughter. Then after having her she fell and broke the rods. They were finally replaced and she was doing great until a couple months ago when the screws started to loosen. Now she has to get those screws tightened and will be in the hospital for at least six weeks. So please pray for her and her doctor.
Truckerman went to an auction sale this afternoon. He really enjoyed himself. He came home with all his treasures and had stories to tell about all the things that were for sale. I'm glad he enjoyed himself. It isn't often that he can go out and do things like that.
