Happy Birthday

[God] saved us...by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:5

Today the boys and I went to the city to see my parents. Mom had some ham and turkey for me to freeze. So I decided to get some running around done. And since it is my birthday today I decided to treat myself to a new pair of jeans.

Mom and Dad took the boys while I went to Walmart and Sobeys so I took my time since I had the chance to do so.

When I got to the Walmart I ran into my very good friend Cranky Momma and her family. Funny how I have to drive an hour to see her when she lives only minutes away from me. At Sobeys I ran into another friend from town.

Mom and Dad had supper and cake for me at the house. Mom made up turkey and ham to split between Cookie, them, and myself and made soup from the turkey. She had invited my Grandma and Gramps, my Noni (great grandma), my other Grandma, and my uncle. Uncle One Eye and Auntie Cinders were unable to make it. It was a nice time and I enjoyed spending it with them. I just wish that Truckerman would have been able to come. This will be the last one where he won't be home so I'll live. I was going to call my cousin today because it is her b'day too but I was informed that she is out partying because it is her 30th. Then I was going to call my great aunt because it is her b'day too but I was informed that she is in the hospital. The doctors are not sure what is wrong but her blood pressure is sky high and her blood sugar is off the charts. She is way to young to be having the health problems that she is having.

Tonight I am going to watch a movie and do some scrapbooking since I am so far behind it's not even funny.

How many times?

David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. 1 Samual 17:50

How many times do 2 big people have to tell 2 little people to clean their room? The counter that I said that I was removing finally was removed by Truckerman the other day and he proceeded to remove part of the carpet in the room. He and I painted the walls that the counter had been against and then we moved the bunk beds. When we moved the beds the things that had fallen between the bed and the wall were revealed. How can 2 young boys have so much stuff?!

Truckerman wanted to remove the carpet and underpad today before he went back to work. Well, the boys take forever to do anything, literally. Why should any parent have to stand over them for them to get anything finished?! Finally the carpet is out and the floor swept. Now I get the privilage to go through all of their toys and start getting rid of the toys that are not played with. Then I have to listen to the 2 of them say that they love to play with that toy and this one is my favorite even though neither of them have played with the thing for months. It shall be fun.

I should have taken a picture of the weather outside today. There was frost on the trees this morning and this afternoon the wind had picked up a bit and the sun was out so the frost was blowing off of the trees. The frost was sparkling like glitter in the air. It was really pretty.

I got myself some good deals today. I went to the grocery store and they had marked down the toys they had there. I got some build a car kits for $2 that were $4.25 before Christmas. Some Barbie type dolls and baby dolls for $2.49 that were $5.49. I thought they were such good deals that I called my mom and she had me go to town again and get here 4 of each dolls. Christmas shopping has already started in this household.

Almost Finished

These [signs of Jesus] are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name. John 20:31

Christmas has been hectic here. Between trying to get ready for it, finals, and this terrible infection I am worn right out. My cough is still here, my ribs and abs don't hurt anymore but my back is tight and sore.

The boys enjoyed their Christmas. We went to my Grandparent's for Christmas Eve and had a wonderful supper there. The kids are the funniest to watch. My cousin's youngest daughter got so excited over my mom's new chocolate fountain she was clapping her hands and vibrating. Two of the older kids were so excited over the fountain they planted themselves right in front of it and had to be asked several times to move so others could have a turn at it.

The kids also got very excited when Santa came to see us. Repete was jumping up and down and then stopped and shouted, "Hey, I know who you are! You aren't Santa you're Grandpa!" Luckily that younger kids didn't pick up on that one.

Cookie and his girlfriend entertained everyone with magic tricks. Noni (my Great Grandma), Gramps, and my uncle One Eye are still baffled by the trick that was performed. I think I have it fingured out. I'm just trying to figure out the trick that he showed Pete where he had Pete take a card, sign his name on it and then Cookie changed the color on the back of the card. Pete was dumbfounded. Cookie has promised Pete and Repete that he would come to their school to put on a performance. That should make them popular kids for awhile.

Christmas day we went to service in the neighboring town because for some reason most people at our church don't want a service on Christmas day. That confuses me but anyways, we went and then we went to my parent's for brunch and a visit. The boys received camo clothes and puzzle books so they were thrilled.

After our visit we drove to Truckerman's Dad's for supper. We had a nice supper there and got to visit with his Grandma, 2 sets of aunt and uncles, his dad and J. We played games and visited with each other. It was a good time. The boys definately had fun with Uncle D. He has a architecture firm in the city, so he had his laptop there and it has a program that he and the boys play with where they can design buildings and add funny things like slides, ect. to it. They enjoy Uncle D.

The only thing that I did not like is all the Kinder Surprise Eggs that the boys received. I'm not a fan of them and they received a total of 18 plus the 1 that Truckerman got plus one cousin had forgot 3 of his at my parent's so they got sent home with us. So that is a total of 22 eggs. UGH!

Truckerman and I watched my new movie Walk The Line last night. I like that movie. The boys received a couple of movies themselves. We all got very spoiled.

Yesterday Truckerman and 3 others curled together in a family funspiel. Truckerman's team got either second or third and each won $20. Truckerman did really well even though he had not curled in 2 years. He had a good time and that is what matters the prize is just icing on the cake.

The boys room is almost finished even though I said that I was going to get it finished in October. Truckerman did alot of the work. Tomorrow I am going to finish the painting and then we will move the beds and remove the rest of the carpet and bring up the other dresser and it will all be finished. That will be a nice feeling to have one more thing finished in this house.

So Many People

I did not accomplish everything that needed to be accomplished but I did get the important things finished and well the rest, it can either get finished later or not at all. I'm not really worried about it anymore.

Right now I am writting this at my parent's place. Today is my Dad's birthday and Mom had a come and go for people to come. Today was the first time that all the great grandchildren on Dad's side of the family have been together. The had fun playing together and we made sure to take a picture of them all. It was the first time that Cookie had seen one since the others wedding and the other was since his wedding.

My 2 uncles were unable to make it though. So Dad didn't get to see them.

Tomorrow my uncle is probably taking the boys ice fishing. They are excited about the whole idea of it. He took them fishing this summer when the boys stayed with Mom and Dad while Truckerman was at work and I was at school. They had a great time.

Cookie is taking his girlfriend snowmobiling tomorrow. I wish that I could go but with this infection I am having trouble with cold air making me cough. It really sucks. I can't have any outdoor fun like everyone else. :-(

Tomorrow we are at the farm for supper. We have a Ukrainian Christmas so there is 12 meatless dishes. Salmon, perogies, cabbage rolls, boiled wheat, etc. Yummy!! I can't wait! Stretchy pants here I come!

Merry Christmas and God's Blessing for a wonderful New Year!

Starting to come around

I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

Repete is the Lamb on the right, the all white one.

It is hard to see at this size but this is Pete's class. He is to the right of the girl with the yellow scarf. The did There Was An Old Lady That Swallowed Some Snow. It was quite cute to hear.

I was very impressed this year for the Christmas concert. Everyone did so well and everyone enjoyed themselves. This year there was alot of mention of the real meaning of Christmas and quite a few Christmas Caroles not just songs.

I am slowly making a dent in my todo list that needs to be finished by Saturday morning. I don't think that all is going to get finished but I am hoping that most of it does. It is really difficult to get things done when one is not feeling well and only wants to sleep. Sleep is wonderful right now. I had a nice long nap this afternoon and I am feeling better then this morning. I'm finding that the cold air is not very nice on my lungs right now and is making things worse for me. Thank goodness it is fairly warm the last few days and is supposed to stay this way for a while.

OOO It Hurts

In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." Matthew 3:1-2

O boy, does my ribs and chest ever hurt. I've been down here because I am really sick. I have something to do with my trachea and an infection. I didn't even try to say the name, but if I had waited a couple more days it probably would have turned into pneomonia. Last night was the first night of many that I finally slept a descent amount and things are starting to move. But man oh man my ribs hurt now from coughing. The question I have is why has it taken so long to start hurting? I'm not complaining that it is now because I would rather have it now that I am starting to feel better and can cough then when I was feeling lousy.

When did saying "Merry Christmas" become politically incorrect?! I got my final mark back from Business Communications (90% on final and 89% final mark [not trying to brag]) and he said to me, being polically incorrect, from my family to yours, have a merry Christmas. That has irritated me since I received it. Jesus is not politically incorrect thank you very much! I am thankful that I live where I live. My children go to a public school that still says the Lord's Prayer, and the kindergarten teacher does the Nativity for the Christmas concert, they sing Christmas caroles that do mention the birth of Jesus, they have Nativity scenes in the halls, and the kindergarten teacher uses work sheets that have to do with the birth of Christ. You don't find this in too many public schools anymore. All I know is that if I could I would take the school with me when we move to the city. I could list all the positives about this school but I don't have the time.

Speaking of Nativity. Truckerman took me to see the movie last night. It was nice to go out with him alone. The movie was pretty good. Some things were inaccurate but overall I would rate it an 8/10.

This morning the bus got stuck in the yard and the neighbor and Truckerman dig and then pull it out. Truckerman says it was funny to watch the children when the bus was rocking trying to get out. He's not sure whether they were being thrown back and forth or they were trying to help him out. And then when he was trying to dig out the tires he said it was a sea of little faces looking out at him.

There is 3 days before I have to go to my Mom and Dad's for Dad's birthday and Christmas and I do not have any presents wrapped, most of the baking that needs to be done is not done, and the pj's that I was going to make are still not started. Oh, and the Christmas cards are not finished. I am going to be a busy girl the next couple of days. Plus everything else that needs to get done, like laundry, dishes, packing, cleaning, etc. Oh, my aching head. Truckerman leaves today for work as well. Ouch! Well, I better get going and start on all my projects.

Better Evening

Send forth Your light and Your truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your Holy mountain, to the place where You dwell. Psalm 43:3

This morning I missed Church. I felt horrible so I stayed at home and slept. Tonight we went to the Church Christmas party. It was fun except it got a little to warm for me that I had to leave the room for some of the festivities because I was getting a headache again and was dizzy and hot. We did a gift exchange game and I ended up with a bottle of wine and Truckerman came home with a box of Turtles (Yummy). The Church gave the boys each a Transformer. Hmm, I wonder how they knew what to buy?!

When we got home we pulled out the decorations and decorated some of the house and the tree. The boys had a blast. They would have decorated the entire house if you would let them. :-)

Yucky

No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, He has made Him known. John 1:18

Last night when I went to bed I ended up in a coughing fit. So I didn't sleep well after that. Today I haven't coughed much except I am sore and achey everywhere. I don't know which one is worse.

I did manage to get most of my office cleaned and found many things that we thought were gone and things I never even knew I had. :-) Sometimes that can be a nice surprise and then some things you stop and ask yourself, "What was I thinking?"

Truckerman had been missing his nice staple gun and we thought that it was forever gone. We were at Canadian Tire not long ago where we had gotten it and decided to buy another one. This one is smaller and does not have all the same features as the old one but it does become a desk stapler. That feature is way too cool. And since we needed a desk stapler we decided to get it. Well low and behold Kirken finally decides she can't stand the mess anymore and decides to go through everything and start to junk. Guess what I found in one of my Rubbermaids? Yup, Truckerman's stapler. He was happy to see it again but he isn't overly impressed with me over misplacing it. Oops!

I can see the closet again and there is room for more stuff! But I am on a mission to have less stuff, so seeing this is a nice and welcome thing. I'm still missing a pattern that I was needing for making pj's for the kids. That one baffles me. But I'm not sure why. Things always seem to disappear and never to be found again. I know that for a fact. It happened to the top of our wedding cake. We had a fake cake and the cat knocked it over and the arms of the people feel off and they were never to be seen again. Maybe the people that bought our old place found them. Who knows. I'm not overly concerned anymore. Pete took my watch and it has never been seen again. Maybe when we move, that would be a nice thing.

Truckerman found The Muppet Movie for my tonght on eBay. That is one of my favorites. I have most of their movies. I prefer the older ones to the new ones they are classics.

Tonight we were going to go and see The Nativity at the theater but with me not feeling well we have decided to maybe wait and see how I am feeling tomorrow. It will nice to go out on a date with my sweetie and get out of the house. I'll have to phone the babysitter and rebook with her. Hopefully she is available.

AAAHHHH!!!!

They are finished!!! I was one giant knot when I was done, but I am done!! Now time to relax and get ready to celebrate Jesus' birthday.

After I was finished I went to a few stores in town to finish getting the remainder of the presents and stocking stuffers. I was informed the other day that I was to get the presents for all the children from Church for the Christmas party sunday night and that I was also to get the gift bags for the children for the Christmas Eve service. Thanks, not like I don't have a million other things going on right now. I was finished exams pretty quickly so I took the opportunity to go and get these things because I did not have any tag alongs. So now I am finished Christmas shopping!

Ya, just scrap that, I forgot that the boys each need a present for their classes. That should be quite simple to do so I'm not to concerned. They are each to be worth $3. V&S here we come! (That is my favorite store and I'm going to miss it when we move)

We didn't really get any snow today. The snow we did get was a smidgen but the flakes were huge, I swear they had to be as big as 1.5 inches across and fluffy. Very pretty to watch.

Tonight Truckerman, the boys and I watched the Cars movie. We did not get to see it this summer with me at school. I laughed so hard, I can't wait until Christmas when the boys get it from their Grandpa G. Repete got so excited that he would get off his chair and dance around. Made it hard to see since I was right behind him in the floor. :-) I get a kick out of watching him watch shows for the first time. Watching Polar Express was quite the expirience let me tell you. I think it was more fun watching him watch the movie. Little ones are too funny sometimes.

I started to clean out my office tonight. I need to get into the closet to get my patterns so I can make pj's for all the kids for Christmas. I haven't been able to get in their for quite some time because there was a giant box of baskets in front of it and then that box became a dumping ground for things that were in our way when studying, or being on here. But no more, after I am off of here then the box is gone! I will be able to move again in here and actually find things again. I'm so excited!

Well I should actually go and do that. Nite, Nite everyone.

Frazzeled

The word of our God will stand forever. Isahiah 40:8

I have had to quit studying. My brain hurts and I can't think straight anymore. ~:-S Smoke is going to start coming out of my ears if I study anymore. Hopefully I am prepared enough for these exams.

I received a call from Repete's teacher last night. Seems like there has been a case of head lice that has found its way into the classroom. Head lice has been a huge problem this year in both the Catholic and Public Schools. Head lice is a fact but I came to find out that some children have had it and one family has had a problem with it since September and they are not telling the school that this is going on. I personally think this is irresponsible of the parents not to tell the school so that extra precautions can be taken. And if you are having trouble controling it then contact the health nurse. Someone will help. It drives me nuts that these people could not tell anyone so now it is going nuts within the schools even with the extra precautions that are being taken.

The freezing rain warning has ended and so far we have only had a little bit of snow and some wind. It is still supposed to snow and it is supposed to be quite a bit. That I don't mind. The thought of the highway crews going on strike isn't a comforting thought though. Oh well, we'll make it through.

The bewitching hour is almost here for my exams. Part of me wants to be doning them right now and just have it all done and over with and part of me wants to go and hide. I'm so restless at the moment and need to calm down. Please say a prayer for me that I will be able to do well. I know that I can do this with God's help because I can only do this through Him.

It's time for lunch and then I'm off. Update you all later.

Taking a Break

I need to take a quick break from studying. It has been difficult with the boys here but I am trudging along.

Unfortunately I feel a chest cold coming on. :-( Repete has been coughing since his ear infection and he has a tendancy of coughing in my face regardless of being reminded contantly to cover his mouth.

I haven't had a chest cold since high school so it took a bit to figure out why it feels like someone is sitting on my chest. The feeling has progressively gotten worse as the day has progressed. Hopefully I will be okay for tomorrow for my exams.

Environment Canada is calling for snow tonight that is to change to freezing rain in the night to change into rain in the morning to then change back to snow (about 10-15 cm). Plus there is to be 30-50 km/hr. winds to top it off. And then it was announced that the highway crews are supposed to be going on strike. That should make for an intersting weekend since they are calling for snow on Saturday as well. As long as I can get to town to write my exams that is all that matters. I guess if I had to walk I'll have to start early since I would have to trudge through the snow and I live out of town (1.5 miles so not to far). ;-) LOL

Well, my break is over gotta go and study some more.

Sick Little Boy

While He was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is My Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased. Listen to Him!" Matthew 17:5

I got a phone all from the school earlier this morning telling me that Pete was not feeling well. Seems that there is alot of grade 3's that are coming down with the flu this week. My nephew is one of them and he's now been sick for 3 days. My niece was sick with it last week and Pete's piano teacher's children have had it as well. Tis the season for feeling sick. As long as I don't get it tonight or tomorrow then I should be fine. Well, as long as Truckerman doesn't get sick either so he can't help out. But I doubt that will happen.

The trees right now look so beautiful. They have frost all over them and the sun is shining making them sparkle. I should go and take a picture of them. I love it when it looks like that. That is one of my favorite parts of winter.

Pete was happy when we got home. The grader was in our yard plowing up the snow and making the piles of snow even bigger then they were before. He forgot the ask Mr. Graderman if he could bring the loader next time to make a big pile. He had done that a couple years ago when we had a giant snow storm and the grader had broken down. He really spoiled the boys that year. I guess it is supposed to snow tonight and then high chances the next couple of days. This means bigger snow piles!! Pete is excited about the whole idea of it.

Well, I better go and get studying for my finals. Please pray that I will do well and wish me luck.

Quiet

I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in Me may not remain in darkness. John 12:46

It is snowing here and big flakes are coming straight down meaning that there is liitle wind outside. I like it like that, no wind when it is snowing.

I have one thing left to add to my final project for business and I will officially be done with that class. :) Yippee!!!! Now it is time to move on and study the other 2 classes.

Pete and Repete have bowling after school, then at 6:30 pm Pete has piano lessons, and at 7 pm we are practising our Church Christmas pageant. Then it is come home, bath the boys, get them ready for bed, and after all that it will be study time. There is nothing I would rather do then study. :-P

Warming Up

The Lord reigns foever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the Lord. Psalm 146:10

Today's weather got to a balmy +1 C. They are calling for snow and maybe rain tomorrow. I hope not the rain.

I managed to get some cleaning done today. And I got part of supper started in the slow cooker (sweet and sour buffalo ribs MMMMMM...).

After the boys got home from school I took them and my neice to meet another girl from Sunday School, and we all went to take the Sunday School offering to the local Secret Santa. The Secret Santa in town takes donations of toys, food, and money and makes up baskets for families that will not be able to provide a Christmas this year for their children. 2 or 3 times a year we take the offering money and give it to some type of charity. We have given it to Haitii Lutheran Missions Kids Feeding Kids program, Lutheran World Relief, and the Seminary, just to name a few. We let the children decide so they know where the money is going. They enjoy doing this alot and boy do I hear about it when I forget their money at home. :-)

Truckerman should be home any minute. :-) I can't wait to see him! We should have a nice 8 days together.

Blah

"The time has come," [Jesus] said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!" Mark 1:15

Today I did some work on my final project for Business. I took the bottles to the bottle depot. I listened to the MP3 player and danced around while I cleaned up some and made chocolate marshmellow squares.

Truckerman is excited to come home tomorrow. He is missing us and we are missing him. He also wants to have some baking. Especially since I forgot to take hime some the other day when J brought some over. I've had to move it so the boys won't eat it all. They would if I would let them.

I read the funniest thing in the local newspaper today. Our town had it's New Years baby on Dec. 1. Yup that is correct. It took almost a year to have a baby in town. See most parents go to the city to have their baby's and not to the local hospital. Me, I did the same thing. We were living in the city when we had Pete so that is where we had him but Repete we chose to have him in the city because that is where my doctor is and I also had complications after I had Pete and there is no OB/GYN here and if anything happened I would have been shipped off to the city regardless so I just skipped a step. Plus mom and dad were watching Pete for us so we had to go there. But anyhow, that is too funny that the news years baby is born a month before the next new year.

Update on my SIL. She is almost over the sinus infection. But they are still unsure of what is wrong with her arm. She is to see a couple doctors on Thursday and maybe have to go through some more tests while she is there. They think it may be arthritis or something is pinched.

Well I'm off to listen to some more music and do some more housework. I'm hoping to have the house cleaner for when Truckerman comes home then when he left. ;-)

Finally Finished

The Lord God will give to Him the throne of His father David, and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end. Luke 1:32-33

I finished my last regular assignment for my classes last night!!!! Now I had a final assignment to write and 2 finals to study for this week. So now there is an end in site. I'm taking the day off to do some house work and get my Christmas cards finished.

Repete is having a friend over for his first sleepover. He's pretty excited about it. Sounds like he will be going to their place next weekend. Hopefully he is up to it.

We went to see Truckerman. He is really missing home. He was so glad to see us and wishing to come home but he is still there until late Tuesday night. This is better then when he was on the highway and it is only once a year that this happens so we put up with it. Plus this is the last time that he will ever do this again. Next year he will be in school so he will see us everyday. That is going to be a huge adjustment for all of us but we are good at making adjustments in this household [well most of the time ;-)] With his driving truck you learn to make adjustments like the time he got a new job and went from being home to being gone. I lived here and he was there for a month and a half and when I finally got there they shipped him off to a place south of where we had lived for 2 weeks. Then when he went longhaul he was gone alot and not home much and then he got a job here and was home almost everyday. Boy was that an adjustment. Took me almost three months to get used to him being here. So we will get used to being around each other everyday. I know that the boys will benefit from him being around more, they love being with their dad so much.

Well I better get going and get some laundry started. Yippee!!!

Smelly and Cold

In the beginning was the Word... and the Word was God. John 1:1

It was a beautiful day here today. But tonight my behind, hands, face and toes are coooooolllllddddd!!!!! That is because we were out in the cold for our town's annual Parade of Lights. We had decided almost at the last minute to put a little float in. It was supposed to be the Sunday School class but two were sick and 2 had piano lessons. So it was the boys, myself and my nephew. I hope that letting him join in the fun will get him coming to Church again. He promised that he will be there this sunday. His sister has been coming but last night she came down with the flu.
I thought that the Bible verse was appropriate for the parade. I wish that I had gotten a picture of the Special Olympics float. They did the Nativity for theirs. It was great. The funniest thing that happened was the float in front of us had a light up Santa on top of their float and it fell off just as we were just starting and they just drove away without the thing so we picked it up and will return it tomorrow. Our Pastor, his wife, and their dog, Daisy walked along side the float so they were nice and toasty.

I could not figure out what stunk in the car on the way home. I thought that it was my clothes from the generator that was running the lights. Well, yes it was my clothes but after I changed I could still smell that smell. Ya, it's in my hair. :-P

My SIL will be coming home tomorrow. That is all I know for now. I'll have to call Saturday and see how she is doing. I would call tomorrow but I have to get my last assignment finished and go and see Truckerman an hour from here to take him some more food and clothes and let the boys see him. That will be a nice thing for them and for Truckerman.

Quieter Day

Whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.... In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world. 1 John 4:7,9

I have an update. I talked to my SIL and my BIL and she is doing much better today. The spinal tap came back clear so that is a relief. They were waiting on getting into have a MRI and on a Ruemetologist [however you spell that ;-) ] She did have the MRI and will hopefully see the doctor. She has a sinus infection in her left sinus and it is under control know with meds. They are thinking that her arm and hand problem is arthritis. She and Truckerman were both diagnosed with juvenile arthritis. Her's in is her knees and Truckerman has his in his knees, hips, back, and know it seems to be in his hands. So it seems that hers has moved on to other areas of her body. So hopefully there is something that can be done for her.

Repete is feeling better today. The anibiotics kicked in quickly thank goodness.

After school the boys had Family Bowling. They each had to bring a family member to bowl with them. Repete had me bowl with him and Pete chose to invite Truckerman's uncle to bowl with him. It is nice for the kids to get to take friends and family to have fun with them. One of the girls on Repete's team wanted her little sister to bowl with her, I think she is only about 3 years old. It was so cute to see.

Tomorrow will be a very busy day but I will leave you all hanging to wait and see the pics of tomorrows activities. All I can say is it involves vehicles, lights, and streets. ;-)

Not Sure How To Feel

Whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life. He...has passed from death to life. John 5:24

Where do I start? Well Repete woke up just before 1 am with an earache. So he climbed in with me and I didn't sleep after that. He decided that he needed to be glued to my side all night.

In the morning I took Pete to school and picked up a girlfriend of mine and we went to the city. Well the roads were not bad but it had snowed about an inch over night and it was blowing and icy when we left. I went to my doctor appointment. After that I had to go and get a new perscription, then we were off to a friends daughter's place to drop something off for her sister from Pete.

We went to Subway for lunch and then off the Michael's. That was the first time that I had been there at that city. I picked up a really nice cross stamp couple more small stamps while we were there. Then we were off to Canadian Tire to pick up a new motor for Truckerman's cooler. We looked at the one last week but they didn't have when there and sent me to the one in the bigger city today.

We went to the Dollarama. That is a great store! I picked up a couple more things for scrapbooking and stamping. They were only a dollar so what the hey.

We then left and went to the city and stopped at Walmart to pick up jeans for Truckerman. He was taking the hoses off the semi and got covered with condensate and it will not come out and they stink along with his shoes, socks, and long johns. Not a pleasant smell let me tell you.

Then we went to mom's work and picked up my family pics that i had copied for my Christmas cards.

Then it started to snow and it was blowing and sticking to the highway. So it took a little longer to get home then normal but we made it home safely.

I had crankymomma's daughter watch Pete after school so when I got home I ordered in a pizza. Well the pizza girl got her car stuck in the driveway and had to get pulled out by her boyfriend. Took them over 1/2 hour to get out.

Crankymomma called me after supper to see if they needed to pick up her daughter and so her husband left to come out here and he got stuck there. Took him over an hour to get out.

Well then I started my assignment that was due tonight. Well that is when Repete woke up crying and in alot of pain. So I have to get the assignment finished ASAP. So lets just say that it isn't done as well as I would have liked but it did get finished and sent in.

That is when I packed the boys up and took them to the hospital to see the doctor. Repete couldn't wait until tomorrow afternoon to see the dovtor. Well, guess what happened on the way out of the driveway? I dare you to guess?

I GOT STUCK IN THE DRIVEWAY!!!!!

Yup, you read that correctly. Now my lungs hurt because of running in the cold air. Luckily the neighbors decided to stay up late tonight. So i got a pull out of the snow bank and took the boys to the hospital. And he now taking an antibiotic.

Also my SIL called today and left a message on the phone when I was gone asking to take the kids but I wasn't home to take the call so my FIL took the kids. She went to the city today to see the nerologist because she is having trouble with her one arm. It is changing different colors and has weird feelings in her hand. She had x-rays, CT Scan, and the last thing I heard before my BIL's phone died was that they were talking of a spinal tap. OUCH!!! So please pray for her that all is going to be well for her. And hopefully this will bring her back to the Lord. BIL has started going back to Church a bit lately and my niece has been coming regular now too.

Well, I better sign off and get to bed. My eyes are starting to droop.

What Am I Thinking

Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when that time will come. Mark 13:33

I do not know what I was thinking by saying yes to putting on a Christmas pageant with the Sunday School class. Plus I go the bright idea that the Sunday School class could go into the parade of lights this thursday. Guess who has to get that ready? ME!!! I just finished and sent off an assignment, the last one psychology. :-) I have to make a million calls tomorrow, go to the celebration of rememberance tomorrow night for work, go to the city to see the doctor on tuesday, do the readins and finish an assignment in business for tuesday night, take the boys bowling and bowl with Repete for family bowling, do the reading and finish an assignment for funeral directinf for friday night, go see Truckerman on saturday, church and sunday school as always on sunday, take the money the sunday school gave for their offerings to the secret santa sometime early next week, take the boys to bowling again, write a final assignemnt for business, write 2 finals on the 15th, set up the christmas tree on the 16th, then church and sunday school, then that night the church christmas party, then I have to do my christmas baking, start and finish the pj's, wrap presents, do the christmas pageant, take the boys to bowling again, watch the boys at the school christmas concert. go to my dad's birthday, and then my grandparents for christmas eve. And somewhere in there I need to finish and send my christmas cards. Oh, and I have to take Truckerman to his followup for his tonsils, and get groceries. Oh, and then there is cleaning the house since it is desperate need of being done.

I am slowly going crazy, 1 2 3 4 5 6 switch, crazy going slowly am I, 6 5 4 3 2 1 switch,... ~:-S

Long day

God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with Him. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10

Today was a busy one. Truckerman let me sleep in this morning. That was so nice of him. :-) I took the recycling in this afternoon, got the few things I forgot at 2 different grocery stores, went to the Bargain Shop to pick up a birthday present, went to the local V&S store to get a couple things and then off to the birthday party that Repete was invited to.

Repete had a great time and did not want to leave. And all the kids loved to present that Repete gave to his friend. They all played with it for about 2 hours.

We got Truckerman ready for work and he left here just after 9 pm for a 9 day stretch. This is the only time that he goes this long. His boss goes to Las Vegas for the Nation Finals Rodeo. LUCKY DUCK!! (I'd love to go to that, I love rodeos) We will go and see him on Saturday and take him some clean clothes and more food and anything else that he may need. Normally he is only gone for 4-5 days at a time. I really do not miss the long stretches of him being gone. Sometimes he would go 2-3 weeks at a time and then only be home 1-3 days. That was hard. Then there was the job where he was on call 24 hours a day for 16 days and 5 off. You never knew when he was coming or going. That made one gentleman very upset with me when I could not tell him when Truckerman would be home. How could I not know when he would be home from work? Heck half the time I didn't even know which province he was in and which end of that province either.

I got a new t-shirt yesterday. I want your honest opinion on it. What do you all think of it? I think it is the funniest thing. When I first saw it I told Truckerman that I had to have it. So know I have one. :-) I can't wait to see peoples faces when they read it. LOL

Windy!!

In Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at His coming those who belong to Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:22-23

We went to the city today. The ride there was scary at times. It was snowing and the wind was blowing so visability was very poor. Thank goodness Truckerman is a truck driver. He had to have a tooth pulled this afternoon. So I had to drive back. The roads were a bit better on the way back except for some of the drifts on the highway.

Truckerman was wishing he had laughing gas like this pastor's wife at paradisetownship. He's doing well tonight now that the pain has gone.

I went to the grocery store yesterday and then today and can you believe this, I forgot snacks and juice boxes for the boys lunches. I'm not sure where my brain went to lately.

Ah, yes I do! It ran far far away because of this last assignment that I had to do. I've been on the phone with 3 other people from school the last 3 days trying to find where the answers are and to help them find answers. Just 2 more weeks and then it is over for a couple of weeks. I need to keep telling myself that. Truckerman came into my office and sat down. He said, "I came in here to remember what you look like." Have I been that busy that I'm not really around even though I am in the same house as the rest of them? I'm feeling awfully guilty at this present moment. I think I will go and watch the hockey game with my man.
