Good News

We went to the big city this morning and looked at a place that is exactly like the one we will be renting. There is much more storage in the unit then I expected so that was a good surprise. Plus the new unit that they changed us to packs on to some large greened and treed area with a big trail. This is going to be nice for the kids to play in because the yards are really small.

I officially am employed!!! :-) YIPEE!!! They finally have said yes. Funny thing is that when I got home I come to find out from my instructor that monday she had received a call that I didn't have a job there and if she could find one for me. REALLY???!!! Crazy!! But I know officially have one at the place that I had applied at.

It looks like the boys will like that school that they will be going to. And it is only 5 blocks from our place. So the boys can walk with Truckerman to school.

There is a really nice park not to far from our place as well that we took the boys to to play and they really enjoyed themselves at it.

Now hopefully I can keep my tears in check the rest of this week. ;-)

Sad day at our house

Well this week has been a trying one. I still have not gotten a 100% on the job yet. I shall hopefully know tomorrow and will go there tomorrow when we are in the big city.

Today was a hard day for the boys, especially Pete. We took our cat of 11 years out to Truckerman's dad's farm tonight. Pete shed tears this afternoon and then right before we left dad's he was in the house petting Cheyanne and crying. He cried almost all the way home and when he saw her food and water dishes he started to cry again and cried for another hour. He is in bed crying some more. I feel so bad about this and Truckerman feels terrible but we just can not take her and she is better off there. This also helps Dad and J because Dad's cat of 13 years just died last week of a stroke.

But to happier news. Yesterday we had an early birthday party for Repete and I made a race car cake for him (pictures will be posted after we move). He had a blast with his friends.

Last night when Truckerman, Pete and Repete were in bed doing their devotions Repete's first tooth fell out. He was so excited that he quickly put his tooth in a ziploc bag and put it under his pillow. This morning he came out to the livingroom and showed me his money then proceeded to sit on the couch with on hand on his money and the other trying to wiggle his other bottom tooth. What a character he is.

Tomorrow we are leaving at 6 am for the big city to go and see our place. It will be nice to actually see it before we move in. We are also going to the school for the boys registration and for them to see the school and their teachers before they start. We are hoping that this will help in the transition. Then I may have to go to the funeral home if I actually have a job there. Let's pray that I do.

The house is slowly getting packed. It is difficult to do all of this because you need things for everyday life. We need to also figure out what we can take and what needs to go into storage. That is a very difficult thing to do. Some of my china and crystal will get stored but I am going to take my great grandma's china cabnet and my grandma's china there is no budjing on that one. My friend is looking at buying the piano from us and another friend is looking at taking the swing set and buying the bar and the pool table. Those things gone will be a relief for me that I would not have to find storage for them or have to move them.

Well I should get going and get some more things packed before beddy bye.

Not Sure

We have the townhouse, I'm still not sure about the job (they want me but am not sure as to where to put me, the boss wants me at one location and the one manager wants me at another location) I should hopefully know more monday, we have an offer on the house, not a very good one and that is where the I'm not sure comes in.

Now this is where we are having trouble. The offer is not very good but yet we need to sell the house and this offer is before us. I got a feeling that I will find the answer to this and my other stress situations tonight in the bible (yup all answers are found there). Well I got my bible and looked up my devotions for the day and I came across, Matthew 6:24-34 and the answer is there, I'm thinking that we are to take the offer and that the we will be okay and not to worry.

I think this is the answer but what do you all think?

We have started to pack the house but have not made much of a dent in the house yet but that will change in the next few days. We need to go to the big city on wednesday to finalize the house, register the boys and finalize things at work (I hope). Then on thursday we are to go to my parents for supper and the guys at the funeral home want me to stop by that day to visit. We need to see some of our friends before go and to try and get everything else done. OH BOY!! Thank goodness Truckerman is home this week.

To help us remember things that need to be done I have started a notebook with everything that needs to be done and then I have each day written on a seperate page for other things that need to be done on those days. The things being added on to the Todo list is more then what is being finished so far. OY!!! It will all get done and if it does not well eventually it will have to be.

The Stress is Finally Geting to Me

Yesterday the stress got to me so bad that I was on the verge of tears and did shed a couple at work. Truckerman called to tell me that the townhouse that we had applied for was turned down because I did not have a job at the place that I thought that I would be working. Things were so bad that as I went to the back of the building to tell someone that they were wanted on the phone I saw a bunch of the employees out for a smoke break and boy oh boy the cravings hit me. Stress does that to me. And no I did not have one. I would probably throwup if I tried. Plus I do not want to start up again.

So anyhow, Truckerman asked who they had talked to and told them to call the guy that I was dealing with at the funeral home. Well this morning when Truckerman called them they had been in contact with him and I guess we have a place to live now and my job is officially 99.9% mine that the head boss needed to sign off on it and it was sitting on his desk. Isn't it nice that I had to find that out through the grapevine.

So needless to say I thought I was going to throwup again today and was on the verge of tears when Truckerman was telling me this stuff. My back was in a giant knot and my stomach was really upset all day.

I got the money order that we needed to get and sent it off today. So the place will be offically ours in the next couple of days. So then I will be able to get hookups done and the mail transfered. Busyness all around!!!

I was able to go out with a good friend of mine for a fruit smoothee (YUMMY!!!) and just relax and visit. It really helped to get my mind off of things.

My Life at the Moment

In just under 3 weeks we are moving to the big city. :-P

So far we have not sold our home so we will have a mortgage to pay if we don't sell soon. We have no place to live at the moment in the big city. I do not have a job to go to so far. Things are starting to look very scary in our lives. No wonder Truckerman is have heartburn and I am getting more and more grumpy, (I don't need to hear from people that I am already like that lol) and everything in my body is out of wack and I really need to see the chiropractor.

Cell Phones

We got a cell phone because I needed one for work. The convenience is great having to have it on me 24/7 is not so great.

Yesterday the boys were in a parade and I did not hear the phone. A missed call. Then today I was in the back and forgot the phone in the office and I missed 2 calls and I still am not sure who they were from.

So I went and put Caller ID onto the phone along with 100 text messages. With us being here and not at home and with people having to call for things or myself for things the cell is very much needed. But what a pain in the backside they really are. So now when I miss a call I will see who called me.

The funny thing about it all is that usually I do have the phone on me and I do answer it but the one time when it is noisy and the other I forgot to take it with me is when I get calls and do not know (and still do not know) who called me. So much for saying that I have the phone on me 24/7.

The people that were supposed to have looked at our house yesterday did not make it and they are to be looking at it tonight. Please pray that we will sell the place soon. Thank you to all who are praying for us.

Only 3 Weeks!!

There is only 3 weeks left before we move!!! YIKES!!! We haven't even really started to pack anything. OOPS!! I plan on starting tomorrow. I need more boxes and newspapers. I have a friend that is going to save her papers for me to help in that area. I will have to stop at the liquor stores this week to get some more boxes. I will be coming home on Wednesday and either Friday or Saturday so I will be able to bring home 2 loads and Truckerman can get some, hopefully, from the liquor store and grocery store this week.

Yesterday I received a call from one of the realtors and she showed our house yesterday. I talked to her tonight and she is doing a second showing with the people on monday!!! Let's pray that they really want it and put an offer in this week.

Truckerman's uncle is looking at a place for us in the big city tomorrow. It is cheap and only needs a bit of updating from what we saw. We shall know more tomorrow.

I have really good feelings about it all but I am not getting my hopes up. I don't need to get knocked down again.

Pete helped my dad today to shingle the shed at the back of my parents house. He had to wear some of my mom's old clothes (LOL they were to big on him) because the first thing he did was put his hand in tar and dad was scared that he would get it on his clothes.

After work today I took the boys to one of the areas historical museums. The red uniforms are what the Royal Canadian Mounted Police had once wore. The other (the green one) I think had to do with some English group or something, I'm not quite sure but he looks funny with the white running shoes on with the uniform.

My Question is "Why Do They Always Do That?"

Why is that every funeral that is not Catholic or Lutheran (or some cult) use the same 2 readings and the same so called hymns?

The readings I am refering to are Psalm 23 and Ecclesiastes 3. Both are important in the Bible just like every other reading but why are they always the ones to be read. There are others that are so wonderful and so comforting to hear, why can't they be read.

And why is it that everyone uses songs like "Old Rugged Cross", "Amazing Grace", "In The Garden" and other ones like that? With the amount of funerals that I have been working and will be working I am going to be singing them in my sleep. UGH!!

I'm so tempted to steal all the hymn books at work and change them to something with substance.

Busy July

The boys had a busy July. Some pictures had been posted before and here are a few more.

The boys had gone camping with my parents and they had eaten pancakes for lunch. Pete has a butterfly on his hand and it was licking the syrup off of his hand.
Repete went with my dad and grandma to pick up Pete from camp and he was feeding a gopher and it came right up to him.
Pete is seen here at camp. He had a blast and made a couple of new friends. He wants to go again. We'll have to see about that. 9+ hours may be a little much.
Marie at Homestead will love this picture. Repete wanted to knit because grandma was crocheting. He had talked about knitting at school and we tried to get him to use needles and he just wasn't getting it and then we figured out that he was talking about spool knitting. So I went and bought him a spool (that is when my truck was backed into) and he and I are working together and we are going to make a rug because he thinks that we need to have a rug at the front door.

Here is Truckerman, Pete and Repete in a caboose. The three of them love trains and were excited to go inside of this one.

There were all of these adventures and so much more that went on. Now August has started and they have already had a busy time.
