birthday and parade, full day

Some of these photos are from earlier this month. Here the boys decided to have a lemonade stand and they made $14. The funny thing was people would come over to just put money in their jar. So Repete says, "We don't even have to have anything to drink out here." Truckerman's response, "That would be begging and we don't do that."

Repete finally has decided that he can ride his new big bike from grandma and grandpa.

We had Pete's Birthday party today. We decided to go to the park for a couple of hours and we invited the whole class. NEVER AGAIN!! Some parents we had to phone and have them finally come and pick their children up. ERR!! The one I understand because he was stuck in traffic, the other GRRR he had excuses that were pretty lame, he used us to babysit. Not impressed! That child was also rude, mean and also talked back to me. He is not aloud to my home ever again as long I am living.

I made a NASCAR car cake for Pete. He likes the 31 car so that is the colors I used and the 31 is on the top of the car. He liked it some of the kids questioned what it was.

Today the city where I work in had a parade and the company put in the parade their 1918 horse drawn hearse and their coach bus. We all rode in the bus and the boys stood up front and waved at the crowd. They were pretty happy about that. We decided to do our yearly family photo in front of the old hearse. Different, I know, but I think it is cool! Note the bad perm that I received, this is way better then it had been.

Cake is finished

I made a cake for Pete just like the one I made for Repete but with different colors.

The only thing was that I had to make 2 cakes to get it right. The first cake I made was a 8 1/2 X 11 and I was going to cut and stack it but that was a big mess. So I decided to do it the way that I had with Repete's cake and that is with 2 loaf pans and then stacked and cut.

So hopefully Pete likes it and all of his friends.

Wow am I Bored!

I am at work and I am BORED!!!

2 of our staff members are at a service, the manager is on an errand run and I am here maning the building and phone with nothing to do. :-P

I made the mistake of not putting mousse in my hair this morning. I have a giant puff ball of hair on the top of my head. Not attractive what so ever.

Tonight I have to bake and ice a cake for Pete's birthday party tomorrow. He wants a NASCAR car cake like his brothers. OY!! :-S

Tomorrow I have to be at work at 7 am to let some people in the building. There is a parade tomorrow and the funeral home is where it starts and where the command center will be. I will bring the boys with me so they can watch the parade.

After that I have to high tail it home to get ready for the birthday party. We are having it at the park so the kids can run and there is less cleaning to do. Unfortunately I am not sure as to how many people are going to be there. Most of the parents had not responded yet their children have told Pete that they were coming. It shall be interesting.

playing in the dirt

We went to Canadian Tire to get some flowers and a new clothes line.

Well we came home with the flowers but not the clothes line. We just could not find one. Oh well, we will just find one later at a different store.

We also found lots of other things that we never intended on buying other things but man what a deal we got.

We needed a new container for the boy's toys and we were planning on buying one and it was on sale so we of course bought it. And then Truckerman found rollerblades for cheap. So we bought Pete a pair for his birthday. The were originally $130 and we got them for $30,
I think that that was a pretty good deal. So also got Repete a pair as an early birthday present even though his birthday is not until September. We also bought Truckerman a pair for Father's Day. So when we got home the three of them put them on and went rollerblading with the neighbor boys.

We also found a set of junior golf clubs and bag for $30. The boys will have to share them for now but now they can go golfing with dad and grandpa when we are at the lake.

The boys and I got the plants into the front flower bed. Now I just need to get my planters from Truckerman's dad's barn so I can have a nice looking yard and make it seem more like home.

We have the camp site booked for the weekend before and the 3 days of July 1 along with Truckerman's dad's site. It shall be nice. We did not got out camping last summer so this will be a nice break. We all really enjoy camping.

The boys and I are going home to my parent's for the Relay for Life and we are going to Truckerman's dad's for one night and we will bring home some of our gardening supplies and then we are going back again to go to my aunt and uncle's anniversary party so we will bring home some camping supplies and then the next weekend Truckerman is going to a Preachering Workshop so he will stop at his dad's and pick up some more stuff.

Some days I really wish we had the truck to haul things with other then cars. But I am just glad that we have what we have.

nice evening

Tonight we had a couple over for supper and we had a very nice evening. D (the husband) is a pre-sem student and will be going into the sem this fall. I had met him twice and his wife just the once and with him helping Truckerman with his Greek this past year and us (mainly me) not knowing well, many of the pre-sem guys, we invited them over.

We had a very nice BBQ and dessert. Plus we had a very nice visit. J (D's wife) and I got to talk and we both have some of the same fears of being a sem wife and also a pastor's wife. Unfortunately she created some other fears about sem life that I did not have before because I did not know. OY!! Maybe living in a bubble would be the best thing for me. I am doubting myself already and Truckerman isn't even there yet. I am scared of a lot of things to do with this area of our life together and I am scared that I am not good enough for what God and sem are looking for out of me.

Long weekend

I have had 2 busy weeks with work, working over time every day starting last thursday and then because I had started early yesterday and had worked through lunch I took off early and went and had a massage.

I am officially sore that it feels like I have a sunburn on my back but the nice thing is is that the knots are all loosened up.

I have the weekend off and I am so happy about that. Today we are going to the big mall (not by choice) for a birthday party that Pete is going to. And since it is on the other side of the city we decided that we would all go and wander since it would be silly to drive all the way home to sit for 1/2 an hour to turn around and drive back again. I can get my walking in today.

I am trying to figure out what to do for Pete's birthday party. He has been invited by all the boys in his class to theirs and he wants them all plus the 3 girls (a total of 9 plus Pete) to come. I am not about to rent a place for them all and I really don't want them all at the house and to meet at the park is risking the weather. What to do?!

He wants a NASCAR cake like I had made for Repete. I have a very busy week ahead of me. UGH!!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

Today was nice, a present from Repete, breakfast made by Pete with a homemade card, Church, a snuggle while watching a show, an afternoon nap, and ordered in pizza.

The boys bought me a massaging foot spa as well but had given it to me early. They have used it as much as I have and filled it with sand the last time it was used.

I decided to get a perm and went and got it on Monday evening. My first clue that I should have turned around and left was when the lady could not speak english. The second indication was that she was rolling different then what I have ever had before. Third is it took her almost 2 hours to roll my hair. Forth was when I got home and as my hair dried the frizzier it got. I had an afro by the time I went to bed. I have had to chop my hair and I think that it needs more take.

Truckerman has finished classes and has done really well. He has now started a spring course and that will be done in 2 weeks when he will start another one. He plans on taking a night course over the summer. It should help break up his summer since he is watching the boys all summer.

We bought a new camera and we got a great deal for it. It is a Fugi Digital Camera. It has 10 mega pixels, 12 x optical zoom, and a 2.7 inch LCD screen. Plus it has a whole bunch of other neat things on it that I haven't figured out yet. I need to read the book first. I am just hoping that I get better pictures from it then the old camera. I am just trying to figure out what to do with the old one. Any ideas?
