Almost Ready!!!

Wow does the time fly!! I can't believe that it is already December 20.

Tonight the boys have their Christmas concert and I can't wait to watch them perform. We are also watch Truckerman's cousin's son for the evening. The boys should be thoroughly tuckered tomorrow.

Tomorrow we are going home!!! I'm so excited. Originally it was supposed to have been only for the weekend but on Tuesday my lovely manager told me that I don't need to be at work Christmas Eve because I am working the 29th and no one is working Christmas Day or Boxinf day so I can stay at home for Christmas. :-) I have told Truckerman's Dad and My mom but the is it. Truckerman's family will all know but we are making it a surprise for the rest of my family.

Now the things to do between now and tomorrow when we leave.

4. Wrap all the presents
5. Pack the car
6. Christmas Concert

9. Me to work

busy!!

Wow have I been busy! I have worked the last 13 days straight and was supposed to work the next 6 but I have wrangled my way out of working all of it.

I was supposed to work tomorrow but one of the other staff members said that she would work for me. That was really nice of her to do that for me. But then again I am on call and have already received a first call (a call that someone has died) so I may have to go in to work to start on the file to get the service, etc. organized.

I am also getting friday off now. I was going to get half of it off but my manager told me to take the whole day off and spend it with Truckerman and get on the road sooner to visit with our families.

Truckerman is now done his finals for this semester and is happy to have the break. The marks that he has received back have all been good so he is happy about that.

I have now finally gotten all of my Christmas shopping finished today. YIPEE!! Now I just have to wrap them all.

Tonight the boys, Truckerman and I made gingerbread houses. They will have to get finished tomorrow since the boys found halloween candy and have been adding to the candy that we already had for them.

I have finally finished making my Christmas cards today. Now all I have to do is address them. That will be tomorrows job along with some baking for things that are coming up this week.

With all of this going on I am going to need a vacation.

So very tired

Last week was so busy that I was worn out by last night that I fell asleep before supper and was out most of the evening and then went to bed at my usual time and slept through the night.

This last week we had 10 calls and 2 other funerals from the week previous. This week we have started out now with 3 more calls.

We had our Candle Light service here yesterday and there was almost 300 people here. I made 42 Christmas ornaments to give away at the service to each family.

2 nights last week we were waken to people shouting and one thought that he should come into our house because his friend lived there (NOT!!!). Then saturday night some guy decided to beat up a woman so her neighbors decided to chase to our area and beat him up. What fun!! :-S SO NOT VERY FUN!!!!

As you all can see I am not so happy about all of this.

On a happier note. Truckerman is doing well so far with his finals. And we are going to be able to see our families before Christmas. :-)

Crazy!!!

WOW are we every crazy busy at work!!! We have had 10 calls in the last 4 days!! That is not including the services that were booked for this week from last week. It makes the days go faster that is for sure.

Truckerman got me a new cell phone yesterday. It is funky and now I need to figure it out. Right now all I need to know is how to put it on vibrate for at work and how to call out and answer the calls.

Repete saved up his money to buy himself a new mp3 player and yesterday he finally bought it. He was so excited that when I phoned him he had to sing some of the songs that he wanted to put on it. then when he finally did get the songs he would sing the whole song, just not all the words. Silly boy!! :-)

Truckerman has started his finals this week. Wow, one semester almost over!!

Today I will have my final arrangement done where I can then write the licensing exam. Panic time!! I hate exams and right now I do not have time to study let along write the thing yet I need to get it done ASAP. I guess I will have to find the time and just do it.

sick little boy

I have a sick little boy. Repete woke in the night and got sick and he is still sick.

I am having a real hard time being here at work and not there with him. Truckerman is there with him is that is comforting but it is not the same.

I have never been away from the boys when they were sick (except the time that Repete had the chicken pox and that doesn't count because they were very mild and did not bother him). My motherly instinct is to be with him and I could not be. This is so hard for me.

ouch

My big toe on my left foot is out of joint and I am having trouble getting it back in. So at the moment it hurts.

At work we set up for Christmas. I'll have to take a picture of the Pointsettas (sp) tree that we have. It is a really neat thing to see.

I made some Christmas decorations today and am liking what I am making. I will have to make some to give away.

We went home for part of the weekend and the boys went with my mom to the Festival of Trees like they do every year and they had a great time with her. They looked at all the trees, wrote letters to Santa (even though they don't believe in him), had their faces painted, made gingerbread men, and had grandma take lots and lots of pictures of them.

We bought an new (new to us) car last week. It is a '99 Malibu and it is a not to bad a car. The good thing is it has 4 doors so going to Church will be a much nicer thing. Reason for that is is we take another presem student to church with us on sundays and it is hard to fit adults in the back seat of a 2 door.

We have a busy week this week at work. We have 8 calls on the go as of 5 pm today. I am going to be busy!!!
